Date:Early 1960s.

Description: Official Republic of Vietnam manufactured Ngo Dinh Diem presidential poster, partially torn. Presidential posters, such as the one pictured here, were hung at military barracks, headquarters, police stations, and various other government offices. Following the November 1963 coup, most Diem posters were destroyed. The one shown here bears partial damage from this. This poster was a souvenir bringback from an early US advisor. This poster was said to have been collected on the streets of Saigon in 1963.
