Dated:1964 Description: Khaki two pocket shirt, early Marine branch insignia, NCO rank, order fourrage. Although period photographs reveal khaki uniforms (as with other brances) were in use by Marines throughout 1955-1975, they were more widely used in the late 1950s-1960s. In the early years of the republic, the khaki uniform was often used for fatigue/field service. In the 1960s-1970s, use of khaki uniforms by Marines were mostly limited to dress occasions or barracks duty. |
