ARVN Field Jacket

Dated: 1960-70s

Description: Reinforced shoulders, 4 pockets, heavyweight, zipper closure. These field jackets were patterned after the US Model 1965 field jacket. Made in Vietnam for Vietnamese, examples of these olive drab green jackets in use can be seen in all branches of the Republic of Vietnam military. However, due to the climate of Vietnam, these jackets were not produced in very large numbers, and in photographs are mostly only visible with troops stationed/active in the highlands and other mountainous regions.
